In 1988, we first attended the Hannover Messe (or Hannover Fair), located in Hannover, Germany. Hannover Messe is the world’s most important industrial tradeshow hosting approximately 6,500 exhibitors and 250,000 visitors each year. It was through Hannover Messe that we became acquainted with German production and automation systems manufacturer, GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG.
In 1989, GROB decided to establish its North American headquarters in Bluffton, Ohio, and selected LDG as its architect. For nearly 35 years, our team has planned and designed a multitude of projects within GROB’s 150-acre Ohio campus.
Beginning with the first 45,000-square-foot plant facility to what is now more than 500,000-square-foot, we have provided architecture, interior design, and engineering services for a 5-story corporate office tower, three engineering office buildings, and the manufacturing plant. LDG recently completed design and engineering for a 130,000-square-foot plant and logistics expansion and is currently working on another 90,000-square-foot plant expansion.
