In summer of 1980, we began our first project for the then Woodward Governor Co. Today, Woodward, Inc. is recognized as the world’s largest independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of energy control solutions for aircraft engines, industrial engines and turbines, power generation, and process automation equipment.
We’ve completed more than 250 projects at Woodward’s facilities in Illinois, Colorado, and Wisconsin. Projects have included new office and manufacturing facilities as well as numerous renovations and additions all designed to allow Woodward to continue to work at the high level associated with its products.
A unique project that we designed is Woodward’s Systems Test Facility. As one of only a handful in the nation, the 43,000-square-foot facility provides 12 blast resistant test cells, a vibration lab, and both thermal and pressure testing areas to allow Woodward and its customers to test fuel control systems under simulated flight conditions. To achieve the smooth construction and operation of this facility, our engineers worked closely with Woodward and the general contractor to coordinate over 15 miles of process piping and conduit as well as the over 57 miles of wiring utilized in this project. In addition, our team aided in the design of the sophisticated cryogenic and water cooling utilized by the test cells, as well as the 3.1-megawatt electrical service to the building.
We’re proud to have worked with Woodward over the past 43 years, providing them with exceptional customer service and quality design solutions.
